Using Your Watchlist to Hunt for Dividend Opportunities

Your Investography watchlist directly integrates with the dividend calendar. Here is how to use this connection to build a dividend-focused monitoring setup on the CSE.

The Watchlist-Calendar Integration

When you add a stock to your Investography watchlist, it automatically becomes visible in the Calendar's Watchlist dividend filter view. Switch the Calendar to Watchlist mode and you see ex-date markers only for your monitored stocks. This creates a dividend monitoring system without any additional setup beyond maintaining your watchlist.

Building a Dividend-Focused Watchlist

Yield-Based Entry Discipline

The combination of the watchlist, calendar, and price alerts lets you automate dividend yield discipline. Rather than manually checking whether each stock has reached a yield above your minimum threshold, set the price_below alert at the price where yield meets your target. When the stock drops to that level, the alert fires automatically.

Update your dividend watchlist after each round of ex-dates. Remove stocks that have already paid and reset their upcoming ex-date calendar to the next cycle. Add new candidates whose yields have improved due to price declines.
