Understanding Quota Consumption Patterns
Alert quota is consumed when a rule fires, not when it is set. A single rule that fires once per day for 22 trading days uses 22 quota units by month-end. A rule that fires only once uses 1 unit. The most effective approach is setting rules at levels that will fire a meaningful number of times — not so infrequently they are useless, not so frequently they exhaust your quota.
Quota Allocation Framework
The Alerts page shows your monthly usage counter. Check it on the 15th of each month. If you have used more than 60 percent of your quota by mid-month, you are on pace to run short. Pause or adjust your most frequently firing rules immediately.
