Per-Rule Channel Assignment
When creating or editing an alert rule on Investography, you select the delivery channel for that specific rule. This is a per-rule setting, not a global setting. You can have some rules delivering via WhatsApp and others via email simultaneously, across different stocks and alert types.
Recommended Channel Assignment by Alert Type
Map out your active alert rules and their current channel assignments in a list. Identify any rules where you assigned WhatsApp but the alert type does not require instant response. Switching those to email frees up your WhatsApp quota for genuinely time-sensitive rules.
Editing Channel Settings
To change the delivery channel on an existing rule, open the Alerts page, click the edit icon on the rule, and update the delivery channel dropdown. Save to apply. The change takes effect immediately for all future firings of that rule.
